Bushpede

In July, a Native-Canadain based 'Bushpede' divides the camp into two 'tribes', the Iroquois and the Algonquin. The tribe compete in various challenges which combine many of the events of our Olympics with a more traditional influence. The Bushpede provide a meaningful avenue for emphasizing and realizing the values of sportsmanship and friendship above all else. This special day culminates in Grand Council, homage to the traditions of Native Canadians. Grand Council is a spectacle of fire, coulors, dance, stories, games and song. It is certainly an experience unique to summer camp.
