Special Events / Kilcoo Olympics

The highlight of the August session is the 'Kilcoo Olympics'. Several days of preparation, planning and organization heighten each camper's anticipation of this event which has been a tradition since 1956. The entire Camp is divided into five countries. The competitions include design and construction of team symbols and villages. There are team sports such as football, soccer, land-and-water mixed relays and tug-of-war while individual events include track and field, swimming, canoeing, tennis and archery. Each camper is inspired to feel a 'spirit' for his team or country.
